The discovery was made yesterday during searches for missing Clonmel man Daniel Gerrard who disappeared earlier this month.
The man was found in the water at Tybroughney, Pilltown, Co Kilkenny….his body has been taken to University Hospital, Waterford where a post mortem will take place today.
The remains have not yet been formally identified.
