The Society of the Irish Motor Industry says they were up by more than 26% in the first three months of the year.
2,516 cars were registered in Tipp from January to March….up from 1,985 for the same period in 2015.
The Premier County accounts for just over 3% of the national figures.
Meanwhile over 21 and a half thousand cars were registered in Ireland during March.
