A male pedestrian has been seriously injured in a crash in Clonmel this morning.
The road between Abbey Meadows and the Clonmel Park Hotel is closed following the incident.
This crash happened on the Cahir side of Clonmel, near the Poppyfields retail park, around a quarter to five this morning when a male pedestrian was struck by a car.
He was rushed to South Tipperary General Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The road remains closed this morning to allow Gardaí conduct a forensic collision examination
Gardaí in Clonmel are appealing to anyone who was in the area around Poppyfields, Ballingarrane and Wheatfields area of the town around the time of the crash to come forward.
