Large numbers on hospital trolleys

Once again University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowed in the country today.

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation report 47 people in need of a bed at the hospital which serves North Tipperary, Clare and Limerick.

South Tipp General in Clonmel is next with 33 people on trolleys around the Emergency Department and overflow areas of wards.

In all there are 420 people are waiting for a bed at hospitals across the country this afternoon.
