Local residents will this week have an opportunity to find out more about plans for an extension to a windfarm near Roscrea.
Members of the public are invited to attend an information day hosted by Monaincha Wind Farm Ltd in conjunction with Coillte Teoranta on Thursday next.
Information will be available regarding the proposed windfarm extension in the townlands of Monaincha and The Sheehy's.
Those behind the plans say the new extension has the potential to generate enough electricity to power nearly 6,000 homes.
The information day will be held from 4 to 8pm on Thursday at the Community School in Knock.
