A house at The Green, Dunboyne Castle was targeted at a quarter past four yesterday morning.
No one was injured but the front sitting room window of the house and the door suffered damage.
A dark red or maroon coloured car was seen driving away from the scene.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
