Government makes progress on Gender Recognition Bill

Once the Gender Recognition Bill is enacted in law it'll mean that a person who transitions gender will have their preferred sex fully recognised by the State for all purposes.

Solicitor Michael Farrell of the Free Legal Advice Centre – who worked on the highly publicised case of Dr Lydia Foy – has welcomed the decision.
