Student digs are back in fashion.

A campaign's been launched to encourage Dublin homeowners to rent out their spare room to a student.

UCD Students' Union, Trinity Students' Union and Daft.ie are behind the publicity campaign.

They say there's increasing demand for digs, as students are affected by the capital's accommodation crisis.

Landlords who rent out a room can earn up to 12 thousand euro a year, tax free.
