At yesterday's monthly meeting of Tipperary county council, several elected representatives expressed concern that the revision includes areas near Ahenny and Dualla as suitable for wind farms.
Elected representatives had previously asked for a review of Tipperary's Renewable Energy Strategy.
However Fine Gael Councillor Louise McLoughlin has vowed to oppose the revised plan if Ahenny and Dualla are included as being suitable for wind energy development.
