Broad welcome for Nenagh inclusion for Youth Diversion Project

Funding of nearly 3 million euro has been allocated by the Justice Minster for the scheme to be extended to include 10 new towns…one of the new locations is Nenagh.

The project, which aims to combat crime, involves the Gardaí working proactively with children and young people to deter them from committing crime.

The initiative is already up and running in Clonmel, Carrick on Suir, Tipperary Town and Roscrea.

Minister for the Environment, and North Tipp TD, Alan Kelly says it's a great boost for the local community in Nenagh.
