Widespread interest in Suir Pharma site

Date:

Share:

The pharmaceutical company closed earlier this year with the loss of around 130 jobs after its owners applied to the High Court for the appointment of a liquidator.

An interagency group under the chairmanship of Tipperary County Council CEO Joe MacGrath has been working with the IDA and also to support the former staff.

Grant Thornton have sought expressions of interest in the plant while the IDA has brought two potential investors to the facility.

Joe MacGrath says it remains to be seen if these bear fruit.
