The US ambassador to Ireland will be in Tipperary this afternoon.
Kevin O'Malley will visit the Barack Obama Plaza near Moneygall where he will unveil a bronze sculpture of the US President in the visitor centre.
President Obama's roots in Ireland go back to 1850, when his great-great grandfather Falmouth Kearney left Moneygall to begin a new life in the United States.
