University Hospital in Limerick which caters for North Tipp has 54 patients waiting for beds between the A&E department and wards while the figure at South Tipp General in Clonmel stands at 9.
In total, there are 518 people waiting on trolleys or on admission to a ward in hospitals across the country.
Meanwhile, an outbreak of the Winter Vomiting Bug has led to a visiting ban at South Tipperary General Hospital.
No visitors are being allowed into the wards at the Clonmel facility – the only exceptions are critical care patients and emergency circumstances.
