Toomevara native Sheila Ryan is set to fly the Tipp flag at the Rose of Tralee festival this summer.
The 23 year old succeeds last year’s Premier representative Fiona O’Sullivan to take part in the extended event in Tralee.
She pipped 23 other Tipp contestants for the local crown in front of a packed crowd at the Anner Hotel in Thurles last night.
The young nurse will now go up against 66 other roses from across the globe for the international festival in August.
