The event, in its 11th year, is on in the LIT Thurles campus and will include seminars for budding gaming developers and the Engineers Ireland Game Developer Awards.
Today's gathering will also have competitions themed around the iconic Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy game which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
Proceedings will get underway from 9am this morning.
