The 65 year old, had pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of indecent assault and one count of rape against his niece while she was aged between 8 and 15.
At the end of the six day trial earlier this month the jury of three women and nine men returned guilty verdicts on four counts of indecent assault.
He was acquitted on the rape charge and ten counts of indecent assault.
The Tipperary man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will be sentenced at the Central Criminal Court today.
