Tipp councillors hold last meeting ahead of summer break

The 40 County Councillors gather for their July meeting at the Civic Offices in Nenagh from 11 o'clock.

The final meeting of Tipperary County Council before the summer recess has a total of 26 items on the agenda.

They councillors will consider the proposed variations of both the North & South Tipperary County Development Plans.

The 40 local representatives will also be briefed on the Tipperary County Museum Strategic Management Plan for the next five years. It draws on the impact the museum's collection of 35,000 artefacts has on its programming and the service it provides for tourists and local communities.

Seven items relating to the disposal of land by the local authority are included on the agenda for today's meeting in Nenagh.

There were complaints from a number of councillors at the June meeting that no details were available to them in relation to the sale of council owned houses – in the wake of this reports have been included with the agenda for all of the land or property being disposed of.
