According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are 27 patients on trolleys or chairs at South Tipp General compared to 26 yesterday.
The situation at the University Hospital in Limerick has eased slightly with 17 people without a bed.
Nationally the overcrowding problem has fallen in the last 24 hours – down from 430 on Wednesday to 379 today.
