Students back in school following hoax bomb alert

Pupils were evacuated from Milford National School after reports of a device.

Gardaí and three units of Limerick City and County Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

Students were also evacuated from the Ursuline Secondary and Primary schools in Waterford for a time this morning – they have also now returned to class.

Gardaí are investigating a possible link to hoax bomb calls at other Irish schools and several schools in the UK – which have apparently been made from an automated system.
