Roscrea to hold water charge protest today

Campaigners say that they feel the Government are double-charging householders and the charge should be abolished.

The march will get underway from the Tesco carpark in Roscrea at 3 o'clock and travel through the town.

It comes as a National protest over the charges, which came into effect on the 1st of October, takes place in Dublin today, with several Tipperary representatives attending that rally.

Mike Edwards is one of the organisers of today's event- he says people can't afford to pay any more taxes.
