UPDATE: The road has now reopened.
The M8 is currently closed northbound between Junction 5 Two Mile Borris and Junction 4 Urlingford.
It follows an earlier two vehicle collision.
Emergency services include Tipperary Fire & Rescue and Paramedics are currently at the scene – Gardaí in Thurles say the motorway is likely to be closed for some time with diversions in place.
