Reduced sentence for Killenaule raiders

Two men jailed for 20 years for an aggravated robbery in Tipperary have had their sentence reduced.

29 year old Patrick Gately of Primrose Grove, Darndale Dublin and Dean Byrne aged 23, of Cabra Park, Dublin 17 were among seven men who pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary at the home of the Mark and Emma Corcoran in Burnchurch, Killenaule in November 2013.

At the Court of Appeal today – both men had their sentences reduced by 2 years with the final four suspended.

All the other appeals from the remaining gang members were dismissed.
