Permission granted for Nenagh development

The state planning appeals board has upheld the approval given by Tipperary County Council for the houses on the Borrisokane Road.

A planning application was lodged with Tipperary County Council in April 2015 for a housing development at Millersbrook in Nenagh.

The proposals from Brendan Galvin were for 8 houses in all – 2 detached and 6 semi-detached…this was subsequently reduced to 7 dwellings made up of 4 semi-d's and 3 detached.

A number of submission and observations were lodged with the local authority during the planning process.

However the county council granted permission subject to 24 conditions for the site within the existing Millersbrook estate.

One of these was a further reduction in the number of houses to 6 – four detached and 2 semi-detached.

Appeals were subsequently lodged with An Bord Pleanala by a number of local residents and the Millersbrook Management Company.

The state planning appeals board inspector recommended that permission be refused for the houses – however the board decided to not to accept this and granted permission for the development at Millersbrook but did attach revised conditions to the planning.
