Parents urged to ensure Halloween costumes are visible

With Halloween fast approaching, parents are being reminded to ensure their children are safe on the roads this weekend.

The clocks are due to go back an hour on Sunday morning while thousands of kids will be out trick or treating on Monday evening…

Drivers are being warned to expect more pedestrians across the county and to slow down, particularly in built up areas.

Garda Annastatia Murphy of Thurles Traffic Corps is advising parents to try make their kids' costumes high-vis if possible.
