New heads of two municipal districts in Tipperary will be elected today.

Thurles-Templemore is first up at 10am this morning when a new Cathoirleach will be chosen.

Meanwhile, in Clonmel this afternoon, the Independents, Sinn Fein and Workers & Unemployed Action group members of the Borough District will enforce the d'Hont system, the only district in the county to do so and elect one of the group to become the Mayor of the Clonmel-Cahir Borough District.

The Clonmel meeting will get underway at 4.30 this afternoon.
