During Statements in the Dail on the recent US Executive Order on Immigration Deputy McGrath hit out at what he branded as scaremongering and fake news from certain elements in the media and political sphere.
He went on to say that it was essential the Taoiseach travel to the states for the annual meeting in the Whitehouse on Saint Patrick's Day.
And Deputy McGrath says some people have poor memories when it comes to the past president’s record pointing out that Barack Obama overseen a 200% increase in drone strikes leading to the deaths of hundreds of thousand of children.
The Tipperary TD also said Obama deported up to 3 million illegal immigrants and added $7 trillion to the American national debt yet is held up as the messiah of the US economy.
