McDonald calls for more investment in mental health services

The Sinn Fein Deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald will be in the Premier County to meet with voluntary groups and organisations based in the area to hear their concerns.

One of the main criticisms of the mental health services is the lack of 24 hour emergency care for people experiencing problems while in Tipperary, the closure of St Michael's in Clonmel means patients must travel outside the county

Speaking to Fran Curry on Tipp Today, Deputy McDonald says rural areas like Tipperary need more investment into mental health services for the community.
