Kelly urges Minister to invest in paramedics

The possible threat to advanced paramedic services in North Tipperary has been raised in the Dail.

It comes as Health Minister Simon Harris confirmed increased funding for the National Ambulance Service.

A review is underway in the mid-west which has raised concerns about the advanced paramedic vehicles that were brought in when the A&E in Nenagh reduced its hours.

During questions to the Minister for Health in the Dail Tipperary Labour TD Alan Kelly said people in North Tipp are afraid their already reduced cover could be hit further.
