Local company FRS Recruitment is one of the preferred bidders to deliver the Government's JobPath programme for the Southern half of the country.
FRS is part of Turas Nua Ltd which have been selected to roll out the initiative across the country…it's expected up to 500 will be created in the southern half once the programme gets underway.
The JobPath scheme is aimed at helping 115,000 long-term unemployed jobseekers return to work over its duration and produce significant expenditure savings.
The company is expected to have its head office in Roscrea which would mean a large concentration of the jobs for the town.
Environment Minister and Tipperary TD Alan Kelly says it's good news.
