IBAL criticised for negativity.

There's been strong criticism of the way a national anti-litter campaign has described Tipperary Town as one of the dirtiest in Ireland.

Irish Business Against Litter runs a league which rates towns for cleanliness with the latest standings showing Tipp in 31st place.

However local Independent Councillor Denis Leahy says a great effort is being made locally to improve the area but says criticism from IBAL does not help the effort.

He feels IBAL is stigmatising towns like Tipperary and should perhaps instead describe it as the 31st cleanest town in the country rather than being negative.
