There are a number of faults on the electricity network throughout the country – the largest of which is in Dublin where almost 1,400 households are without supply in Carrickmines.
Power outages have also hit locations in Cork, Donegal, Offaly, Kildare, Clare and Meath.
ESB crews are working to restore supply this morning.
