Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a collision in County Galway that has left one woman dead.
Two women in their early twenties were found seriously injured on the road from Barna to Moycullen in the early hours of Sunday morning.
One line of inquiry is that the women may have fallen from a moving van – a no vehicle was present when emergency responders arrived at the scene.
They were taken to University Hospital Galway, where one of the women was pronounced dead.
The second woman remains in a serious but stable condition.
