Fire Services praised for work on major Ballyclerihan blaze

The fire, at Jim Ryan's Contracting services company in Ballyclerihan broke out on Saturday night…the scene was attended by six units of the fire brigade from Clonmel and Cahir. 

The fire, which is not being treated as suspicious, took close to 7 hours to bring under control, with explosions heard as far away as 10 kilometres. 

Dave Carroll, Chief Fire Officer has paid tribute to the officers that attended the scene throughout the weekend.
