This latest tremor today had a magnitude of 6-point-1 and was centred about 70 kilometres from the city of Esmeraldas.
An earthquake which hit ten minutes earlier this morning had a magnitude of 4.5.
More than 200 people are still missing following Saturday's earthquake, which has left thousands of people homeless.
