Curtains set to be raised for Tipp Drama Festival

Amateur groups from across the country along with their supporters will descend on Holycross for the 9 night event to compete in both the Open and Confined categories.

Tipperary drama groups from Holycross/Ballycahill and Thurles will also be staging plays during the week.

Event Director Donal Duggan says while they may be amateur- the performances are on a par if not better than professional thespians
