Croke Park may be unavailable for All-Ireland SF Final next year

Croke Park may be unavailable for next year’s GAA football final due to the Pope’s visit.

There’s a possibility the stadium could be used for a large outdoor mass to allow 80-thousand people hear the Pontiff in person.

When Pope John Paul the second arrived here in 1979 he met the public in the Phoenix Park but it’s feared the new papal visit won’t be as popular.

The use of Croke Park is drawing widespread criticism however.

Michael Nugent is the Chairperson of Atheist Ireland – he says we shouldn’t be paying for the Pope.
