Council CEO says 2017 priority is job creation

The head of Tipperary County Council says his priority for next year is to attract more jobs into the Premier. 

The elected members of the local authority voted to pass the budget for next year at their special meeting on Friday…clearing the way for 138 million euro to be spent on services in the county.

Roads and Housing have the largest budget; €39 million and €28 million respectively…while the local authority will get 28 million from the local property tax equalisation fund. 

CEO of the council Joe McGrath says inward investment and job creation are priorities for the local authority.
