Several syringes, needles and spoons were discovered by a resident in the Ballylynch estate yesterday.
These were removed by Carrick on Suir Town Council staff however David Dunne says the problem is not just confined to the housing estates – a man working in a local shop also found discarded needles and suffered a needle prick.
Residents are calling for CCTV to be installed in the area in an effort to curb drug activity.
