Claims Germanwings co-pilot crashed plane deliberately

It has been confirmed that just one of the two pilots of the Germanwings airliner that crashed in the French Alps was in the cockpit at the time it went down.

All 150 people onboard the plane were killed on Tuesday.

French Prosecutor Brice Robin says the co-pilot refused to open the door and appears to have crashed deliberately.

“While he is alone that he uses the flight monitoring system, which starts the descent of the airplane” he said.

“This action on this attitude selection can only be done voluntarily” he added.
