CCTV may be expanded in North Tipperary

Speaking at the launch of the closed circuit camera system in Nenagh Cathaoirleach of the Municipal District Ger Darcy said the council would look at the option of expanding it elsewhere.

The project has 16 cameras strategically placed around the North Tipp town which are monitored 24/7 from Nenagh Garda Station.

Councillor Darcy says its been hugely successful so far in detecting and preventing crime and maybe other areas could benefit now too.
