Billions needed to accommodate Syrian refugees

A major funding conference gets underway in London this morning, but the negotiations come amid a major set back for peace talks in Geneva.

Yesterday the UN announced that discussions had been put on 'pause' until the end of the month.

Progress has been slow so far with the two sides refusing to speak directly and the break is designed to allow humanitarian relief reach besieged Syrian towns.

The main opposition group the HNC claims 32 children have been killed by the Assad regime and Russia since the start of talks.
