Bank of Ireland chief to appear before Finance Committee.

Lending to SME's and the number of people in mortgage arrears will top today's agenda during a meeting of the Finance Committee.

The CEO of Bank of Ireland Richie Boucher will face questions from the committee as part of their overview of the banking sector.

Members will meet with senior executives from Permanent TSB, Ulster Bank and AIB next week.

Deputy Liam Twomey, the Chairman of the Committee Chairman, says it’s also an opportunity for members to question bank executives on the impact of EU banking legislation, commercial lending and mortgage related matters.
