Arrest in Jean McConville murder investigation.

Police in the North have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Jean McConville.

The 73-year-old suspect has been taken to Antrim's Serious Crime Suite for questioning over the abduction and killing of the mother-of-ten in 1972.

PSNI detectives from the Serious Crime Branch made this arrest in the Dunmurry area of Co Antrim – on the outskirts of Belfast.

Mrs McConville – who was a widow and mother-of-ten – was taken from her home in the Divis Flats in West Belfast by the IRA.

Her body was only found on a beach in County Louth in 2003.
