The bank says it's working to get all its IT systems back up and running after some sections crashed earlier.
Access to its phone and online services remains down and some in-branch kiosks are also out of action.
AIB says its customers can continue to withdraw cash from ATMs and make purchases in store and online with their bank cards.
It's hoped the issue will be resolved later today.
