The final countdown to the Oscars is under way with Birdman and Boyhood competing to win best picture at Sunday's ceremony.
Kilkenny-based animation studio Cartoon Saloon will go head to head with the giants of film for its feature film, Song of the Sea.
It's the second time the studio has been nominated for an Oscar.
