A motorist has been detected at more than one and a half times the speed limit on the M8 in Tipperary this morning.
The Roads Policing Unit detected the BMW being driven at 186 kilometres per hour while conducting a checkpoint on the motorway.
The driver subsequently failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.
