Tipp Today – Friday December 15th 17′

Today’s Tipp Today came from Nenagh where Fran spoke to a number of listeners; William in Roscrea spoke to Fran about pedestrian safety and his calls to fine pedestrians who are not wearing high vis vests. We also had TD Jackie Cahill live in studio to talk about water charge refunds. Fine Gael election hopeful Mary Newman announced her intention to contest a Seanad seat and Billy spoke to Fran about his fears as the speed limit at Redmonstown in Clonmel has been increased resulting in dangerous driving conditions at the Redmonstown junction.

In the second part of this mornings Tipp Today, Fran spoke to another of our lsiteners Michael Joseph who was venting his fraustration at motorists who don’t use their lights properly. Brid O’Meara from Aware spoke to us about lonliness, with Christmas proving to be a very difficult time for some people. We spoke to Stuart John Downie about this weekends Tractor run in Carrick on Suir and we spoke to teachers and students from Colaiste Mhuire Co-Ed in Thurles after they were honored with a leading light award for road safety.

In the final hour of this mornings Tipp Today, Fran spoke to President of the Saint Vincent de Paul Kieran Stafford about the importance of the recent Tipp FM Toy Appeal which generated the most amazing response from Tipp FM listeners.
We also had our Friday panel with Helen England, Peter Ward and Shane Brophy where we discussed Infrastructure and Economic growth, medication for vital illnesses and is the Day of the Good Samaritan dead.
