Weather likely to hamper efforts to restore power in Tipperary

Met Éireann has issued two separate weather warnings as Tipperary prepares for another storm.

A status yellow rain warning has been issued for today with as much as 50 millimetres expected in the south and east.

While the country is being warned to prepare for dangerous winds with storm Brian expected to hit tomorrow.

70,000 people remain without power after storm Ophelia with thousands of these in the Premier County.

Nenagh based ESB spokesman Michael Fox says progress is being made in restoring power to those hit in Tipperary.
