Visiting restrictions remain in place at University Hospital Limerick this morning, due to 11 confirmed cases of flu.

The Dooradoyle hospital, which serves North Tipp, has said there are a number of other patients symptomatic.

One person per patient only is permitted to visit during official visiting hours – between 2pm to 4pm and from 6pm to 9pm

People with flu-like symptoms are advised to contact their GP by phone in the first instance and avoid presenting at the Emergency Department at UHL.
