The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation is reporting a total of 482 patients without a bed at hospitals across the country today.
48 of them are at University Hospital Limerick which serves North Tipp.
Meanwhile 33 people who were admitted to South Tipp General in Clonmel are being cared for on trolleys today.
